Has anyone else seen this (reported/reviewed in Pitchfork this morning)? Made me tear up, but I'm pretty unhinged these days . . .

Mosh

Quicktime is the devil and people need to stop posting movies in this format. Fawkers.

actually, wmv and realplayer are the devil, and the more stuff in quicktime, the better.

As for Mosh...interesting route to take by Em...but the message will probably go over the targets' collective heads.

I don't know - the class-delineated message seems to me immediately and viscerally available. At any rate, I admire this video, whether or not it makes a lick of difference.

It will go over his target audience's collective head, but they're too young to vote anyway. And with here one day gone the next mentality of the American music consumer, Emenim's message will be forgotten in a month or less. This doesn't bode well for the future voters (under 18 or unregistered) he's trying to reach.

Saw the video edit: That felt like an El-P track. I liked it. Dark as hell.

i don't care about flava or any of those other people Larry; i now exist in a vacuum--vote how you want; the bottom line is: i pay more taxes than god--and im still a liberal; the issues in this election exist on such a completely different level than the concerns that i have for this country right now...but i cant convince people how to feel and frankly i dont want to.

i just like the video; im not ems "target audience" but do you really think that he is trying to sell this as such? i think it is more of an artistic statement than some sort of 11th hour "get out the mook vote" strategy.

edit: and btw diamond: dont ever criticize me...

I think this video is cool as shit. I also do think it's some kind of energize the mook vote attempt, and I think most peeps will react like you. Cool vid, IDGAF. Good job proving my point.

How did I insult you Bobo?

Nice work, Em. I can't see how that would go over anyone's head. It's a cartoon video that plays everything out and there's even a line in the song where he talks about "slowing the rap down to get the message", or something like that. Plus Eminen has loads of fans over 18, I bet it works. Shit, I wanted to get in line right behind cartoon Em in a suit but then I remember I'm not a resident. errrrm and that it was a cartoon.
