Are they not?

I looked at PFork's release date schedule thing, and it seems like 50% of releases are reissues.

And I'm not just talking about the 7 Roy Orbison reissues, or the Jerry Garcia stuff or even the Jerky Boys (yes, THOSE Jerky Boys) stuff. Badly Drawn Boy and the Presidents Of The United States Of American are having their albums re-released. Also, Pearl Jam "Vs."

Why does this bother me?

Someone convince me to stop worrying about this topic.

it's just easier and more cost effective to re-package and re-sell proven sales successes then trying to break a new act....

i think its a simple theory....if the consumer accepts it, and keeps buying it, the labels will keep putting it out!

new Pearl Jam 'vs.' you say????
