she has one of the worst voices I have ever heard on a "musician".

Enjoy. I would rather go see Taking Back Sunday with special guest Fall Out Boy.

edit: uh-oh

call me when fall out boy has costumes by Gautier and lighting design by the worlds best.

Did Jacques LuCont produce their album? non.
I have actually seen Fall out Boy. They were awful.

I also gotta chime in here... I don't think she's ever presented herself as a musician. Yeah, the whole playing guitar thing is kitschy, but to me, she's always been a performer, an entertainer. There's a difference. The thing about Madonna and her live performances is the experience, like Francoise said. And when I saw her for that brief set at Coachella, it was just fun. There's not too many shows I go to where I can come out of it and say, "You know? That was fucking FUN!"

one of my friends is a big madonna fan and has tickets, but he also has a job that requires a lot of travel. if he's out of town during her weekend in chicago, i get his tickets. awesome.

Um, just curious....what kind of seats did you get, Françoise?

What catapults her to the top of the leagues is her ticket price, topping out at $380 (including Ticketmaster fees) in most U.S. venues. However, it did not stop her from adding dates to accommodate demand.

the cheapo ones. I am not paying $350 to see her. But I will say this. Madonna's shows are true performances. It was $130 to see Spamalot, or the freaking red soxs, for god's sake and I would rather see Madonna any day.

Listening to "O, Father" right now. Damn that song rules.

I'm not the biggest Madonna fan in the world or anything but I'd see her in a second if it didn't cost me $5,000.

I love Confessions. It was one of the few albums they played at the record store I worked at before Christmas that I enjoyed.

I'll take her over Black Eyed Peas, James Blunt, and City & Colour any day.

Madonna represents nothing other than the victory of advertising over empathy. But whatever, enjoy the world you helped create. And don't forget to laugh at some homeless people on your way to the arena.

haha. I agree with you, but man, you're a fucking grump! Sometimes your posts remind me of the SNL skit, "Who's more crotchety?" :)

The only way I'd pay Madge $380 dollars is if she would would come over and clean my house, do laundry, mow my lawn, fix dinner, change the oil in my cars, and promise me she wouldn't sing.

That kind of money for a concert, to see anyone is redonkulous.
