I would say:

Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice - Gipsy Freedom (but they started out pretty shitty)
Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow

older/classic:

And I would agree with The New Pronographers latest being their best although I still don't really like them much.

There are some real surprises in this thread.

New Pornographers? BSS? Modest Mouse? Bright Eyes?

Actually, for all these bands, their second album's probably my favorite.



I can probably add Sufjan to my list, though.
