A Gmail account has been established to enable us all to s.h.a.r.e f.i.l.e.s within our own obner community! If you've got images disabled, you might want to activate them for just a minute, so you can view the following tutorial for using loogcentral at gmail dot com (password = jormania):

Step 1: Go to http://gmail.google.com and log in with username loogcentral and password jormania...

Step 2: Click on the Compose Mail link, attach the f.i.l.e you would like to s.h.a.r.e (please use the standard band-album-track number-track name format), and send to loogcentral at gmail dot com...

Step 3: Voila! The f.i.l.e is now right there in the main Inbox for all of us to d.o.w.n.l.o.a.d...

Oh, before I forget...I'm going to start another thread called "LOOG Central Wishlist" where everyone can post what they'd like to see posted to loogcentral at gmail dot com -- chances are, one of us is bound to have it and can easily upload it for the rest of us to enjoy!

Hopefully, this will enable us all to have our own little f.i.l.e s.h.a.r.i.n.g n.e.t.w.o.r.k without having to deal with the conflicts between different messenger services, operating systems, etc.

I hope everybody likes it!!!

EDIT: Don't forget, Gmail has 1 GB of free storage, so we should have pretty good capacity for this project, but we won't be able to keep things there forever, as it would fill up before too long. Let's establish a one-week per a.l.b.u.m policy. Oh, and let's use this for mixes, too!!!

I wanted to load it into my mp3 player for the weekend, and I've found the case but have no clue what josh did with the cd...hmmmmmmm :shrug:

This is a great idea, and I'm not just saying that because I've already tried it. ;)

I have another gmail account set up to do the same thing:

Username: scobode
Password: psufan

Feel free to use it to share whatever you like. I've already uploaded the Daniel Johnston "Discovered, Covered" tribute disc for all to enjoy. Some of the tracks were too big for gmail, so I had to split them up using WinRar. You'll need something that can read rar files to download those songs.
