So Redlands has a giant front porch and when i built it i installed a whole network of speakers inside & outside including the front porch...

So my question is: Does anybody have a line on scome spooky, soundeffects/ horror film type of music sos i can blast it and scare the shit out of these little kids in my neighborhood?

Frostingspoon? Any old carts of 1950's horror movie themes that youve converted to MP3?

Every year I try to whip up a Halloween comp. Sometimes with the help of internet geeks like me, other times as a solo effort. Here is the track list for this year:

1. Door Knocking
2. Valley Of Unrest-Elizabeth Ashley & Lou Reed
3. The Bed-Lou Reed
4. Monsters Of The Id-Stan Ridgway
5. Nite Shift-Switchblade Symphony
6. Rhapsody-Siouxsie And The Banshees
7. Tempus Vernum-Enya
8. Call Of The Zombie-Rob Zombie
9. Dragula-Rob Zombie
10. Rising Evil-Marilyn Manson
11. The Summoning-Hell Pop
12. Hamburger Lady-Throbbing Gristle
13. Punches And Knives-Two Lone Swordsmen
14. Pax Deorum-Enya
15. They Watch With Closed Eyes-Autumn Tears
16. East Hastings-live-Godspeed You Black Emporer
17. The Raven-William Dafoe
18. Demonic Laughter

I think it came out pretty darn good. Already got a line on a couple of tracks for next year! I love Halloween!

Xiu Xiu's Sad Pony Guerrilla Girl scared the hell out of me the first time I heard it, so I think that would work on the neighbor's kids.

I've got the soundtrack to Friday The 13th on vinyl, but no way to get the sound to you in time for tomorrow.

Radio's going overboard for the holiday, BTW...if I have to ID "Bela Lugosi's Dead" one more time I'm gonna friggin' kill someone.

Play Coil's The Anal Staircase (or most any Coil, really)

When I was a kid, I thought the Suspira soundtrack was deeply unsettling, but I haven't heard it for ages.

Heh, heh, then there's always The Swans Cop/Young God/Greed/Holy Money. I'm sure the kids would just love that.

I bet you can find some of the old Hammer film soundtracks on Soulseek and other ptp's. Those were cool. My favorite was "The Vampire Lovers," cause, like, vampire lesbian victorians were quite a revelation when I was 8 years old.

Speaking of Suspira, I see that IFC is running an Argento marathon for Halloween.

Also, Kronos Quartet performed Philip Glass's newer score for Bela Lugosi's dracula. Pretty easily found, i got it at Best Buy. And if you can't find that, Kronos Quartet Black Angels will scare the shit out of them too. Especially track 1, Black Angels: Night of the Electric Insects.

For serious.
