Alright, I got some pretty decent replies last time, thanks.

This time however, I am looking for suggestions or help for my Public Speaking class. We're doing a Cultural Informative speech, I don't really need help constructing the speech or anything, I am doing really well in that class. Anyway, I was going to do my speech on the Madchester scene and stuff (Joy Division, post punk into Rave culture). But I changed my mind. I don't think I would do that topic justice, and it's hard to seperate myth from fact.

Ok, so I decided I'm going to do my speech on Brit Pop instead. In a sense, it was kind of revolutionary, but not really. I'm talking early 90s predominately (Stone Roses, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, etc.) Anywho, I own the movie "Live Forever" which actually will aid me quite a bit. But I don't have time to go to the library today, and it's closed tomorrow (and I don't think they would have any info anyway). But I'm wondering if any of you guys or gals know any sites or have anywhere where I could get some good information. And I'm also looking for suggestions on what I should include.

So far, I believe my intro will talk about early British Invasion and then tie in the bands and scene I will talk about. Something like that. I think Oasis and Blur will probably be the main focus (thinking about tying them to a Beatles/Stones rivalry).

Anywho, whatever. I need to turn in my outline and stuff on Monday, so I need pretty much for my speech to be done by Sunday night.

If you guys know of anywhere I could go, or any ideas. Please reply.

Ok thanks.

Oh, by the way. I do realize that a good portion of you don't like Oasis and stuff.

But it was still a wonderful time in music.

If oasis/blur = beatles/stones, then pulp=kinks. Pulp are much better then either blur or oasis though

I agree for the most part.

In fact, I wrote that in my rough draft for my intro. Well the ideas.

When Oasis first came along they gave music a well needed post grunge kick up the backside. Of course it was all downhill from 'Definately Maybe'.

And regardless of the music, Noel and Liam are absolutely fantastic entertainment.
