I keep seeing this on John in the Morning's top 10 of the year list.
I never heard of it. Have you?

I have it, and was intensely disappointed by it. I liked what I heard on their website, so I bought it. For some reason when it arrived my opinion totally changed.

I really dislike the production especially.

i thought it was ok. not good enough for top ten consideration for me though. its britpop, but with some 80s jangle pop thrown in.

Have not heard the entire album, but "Long Time Coming" would make amix of my fave songs of the year

TJ42,

I think you may really like it.

I bought it in early summer after Element suggested it for summer listening.

It is a great smattering of summery pop. It's british, catchy as hell, and pretty good from top to bottom. This may be totally off, but it is like the New Pornographers, minus Neko, and plus some brit-pop sweetness.

I still think it will be in my Top 10 of the year.

I would say get it....

I love, love The Delays!! Definitely would make my Top Five of the year. Great great album! But, frankly, I don't think TimmyJoe would like it, however, Chris would.

Yep. That's my thoughts about it too. A definite must-have.

their cover of mazzy star's "ride it on" is amazing - totally slays the mazzy star original.

Still love this album and finally bought it on CD this last year. That being said the last album, You See Colours, is much better. Very promising future if they stick it out.
