Ahhhh it went fabulous, absolutely fabulous.

First I must explain that today is chill day, josh is working and I'm going to entertain stacey later after I sit still and do nothing for a couple hours. I'm very sleepy and Wilco kicked our asses last night with the coolest fucking Halloween show ever!!

Ok, well let's see: After numerous miscommunications with how the ceremony was going to proceed, and me and josh on our phones to each other from opposite ends of the ceremony/reception site for the half hour leading up to the ceremony every five minutes, and the 5 young ones that were in our wedding party nearly catapulting me to a nervous breakdown right before they walked down.....it went off with no problem. A litte late, especially since I was a little late getting there to coordinate, but the ceremony was only probably about ten minutes late starting I think.

Our minister was really cool and he brought up in the sermon our love of Wilco and how we were seeing them the next day, he ended up quoting the whole song "California Stars" in the sermon. Which was really neat. Then there was the saying of the vows with me being incredibly monotone the whole time because I had to keep from crying and my nerves were getting the better of me. Then the minister and josh did a welcoming to CHarlie, and josh spoke some words of how he loves him and will always be there for him and all. Charlie stood between us during that time and he was a little surprised but super excited by what josh said.

Then of course we were announced and walked down to no music because we both forgot about that part, Josh had actually gone to a cd store that morning to buy songs for the processional itself. hehe

We had a quick and very unexpected receiving line and then pics and then I had to hunt down Derek who hunted down one of the other Riviera members to get me some champagne. Then I started drinking and had a blast.

We were announced into the reception as Mr. & Mrs. to Journey's "Any Way you Want It" much to the laughter and applause of everyone in there. Then dinner went somewhat chaotic when they started screwing up some of the dinner orders..lol. Oh well all went well.

At one point during dinner I had two glasses of champagne and a glass of wine in front of me if that's any indication of how the night was about to proceed.

Later our first dance was to the Wilco and Billy Bragg cover of Woodie Guthrie's "One by One".

Then there was a lot and a lot of drinking involved, I kept plying stacey with weak rum & cokes, the bartender actually told us that our wedding was the best he's ever worked at, and the music on the dance floor was amazing! And everyone was out there dancing all night long. And Josh and I discovered that night that we dance really damn well together.

Later after the shut down we went to the Hyatt bar and had a drink with some of his family then we changed (much to my chagrin I realized I left my normal shoes and my bra at my ma's so I went out in a white corset and white satin shoes with a blk silk shirt and jeans. Yup, I was stylin) and went to the Marriott and drank for a couple more hours with all his friends from New Hampshire.

Ahhhh....anyways, it was a blast. And it was great that it ended up being a teeny bit smaller of a crowd then we expected because it made it more intimate.

But the best part is, the being married. And no more wedding planning. And tomorrow we leave on our Honeymoon. yay!

I don't have any pics just now..only one on my digital of us with Derek and his wife, and jake brown of Glorious Noise and his wife and Mick from Riviera and his girlfriend. I may put it up today. We'll see.

The minister was really engaging. Jen, you didn't sound monotone, you sounded confident and womanly. Josh, well, he sounded like he had a hint of puberty left to go through but it was charming.

Great appetizers, wish i could have stayed for the reception.

Duffy, i was in the right in the last row. Got there a hair late. Liquid Soul was late in getting out of Michigan, i ran out of gas on the Mannheim exit, hitched a ride with a Paki named Shah, got some gas, spilled it all over my hands and was then afraid to have a smoke, but had one anyways, and still made it in time for the speech, vows, and what have you.

Jen & Josh.

That's so WB cute, ain't it?

I expect a reality show by next year, 'kay?

Congrats.

There are several weddings I can't remember from younger years. Apparently I was even best man at a couple of them. But when the champagne is free and the bride's sisters flirt with you, details get foggy.

Congratulations. I've never been to a cool wedding before. Have fun on the Honeymoon, which I believe is in Savannah, GA, right?
