"Chartered Trips" or "Pink Turns To Blue"
"Makes No Sense At All" or "Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely"

Discuss.

Please do not allow Sugar or post-Du output influence your decision.

Think carefully before you answer. Remember, John McLaughlin is watching you.

I'm was going to listen to Flip Your Wig loud enough to make me shit a little in my pants, but I can't find it. Guess we're going with Zen Arcade instead.

Obviously, if you include post Husker Du stuff, Mould is the big winner.

Nevertheless, while I like plenty of Hart's songs, I think Mould comes out on top with his songs and great guitar playing.

I don't care for Mould's voice. Never liked Sugar either. So one vote for Hart.

Very Eleanor Clift of you Steve. WRONG. The correct answer is Grant Hart. And I like Sugar.

I like 'em both, although I was never a big fan of Mould's work in Sugar.

Although Grant's high points may be a bit higher than Bob's, I have to go with Bob because he had MORE great songs.

I'm gonna be a prick here & say "neither" because it wasn't/cannot be Du without both. It's like saying "which is yer favorite part of the cookie dough - the eggs or the flour"...without one or the other, them's some shitty cookies.

Dude. It's clearly the eggs. Flour over easy sucks.

Grant Hart solo is significantly greater than Bob Mould solo. Bob Mould in a band setting, however . . . well, Sugar's one of my favorites of all time, let's just put it that way. Bob needs someone else around to reign him in, lest he get too angsty and noise-obsessed, especially lately. I mean, can anyone say modulate? That was truthfully one of the worst albums I've ever bought.

Wait, what? Oh. I was confused, thought you meant only solo material. Well, then . . . I have to go with the cake reference above. Can't have one without the other.

You were all wrong (except 4 of you) and now Grant Hart is dead. #rip
