I bet this year we have better turnout than ever before. All I've heard about is 1-2 hour waits...

Go America!

I'd say 68-72%. I think, anyway.

on the news i've heard of huge waits - this a.m. in my district (poor, black, democrat) the polling place was pretty much empty. that doesn't discourage me too much, though, because the local early voting places were crazy busy.

today, i am a praying man.

I'm hoping it's somewhere between 110 Million to 120 Million people, in which case, Kerry wins easily.

The early voting places around campus have been lines out the door for the past ten days. Pretty encouraging news. I attribute the success solely to P. Diddy.

I could see

Obama/P.Diddy

vs

Keyes/Satan

in a hotly contested rematch in 2012.

for the most part, i've heard of long waits too -- significantly longer than 4 years ago.

i'm hoping for 58 to 60%.

There was more staff than voters at my polling place, but I live in a working-class neighborhood with lots of non-citizens and went after work starts for most.

Waited in line for about five minutes. I believe that in my district it'll get hit heavily between 4-7.

they are expecting over 80% turnout in this state...awesome for Kerry if all the 18-22 year olds get off their stoned asses and vote

yeah - that's an awesome thing about Oregon and the voter-friendly ballot system: an expected 84% voter turnout . . . that's almost Australia-good.

But don't they stick your head up a wallaby's bum if you don't vote in Australia. It's mandatory, isn't it?

all the democrats that didn't vote last year are voting this year because they don't want to have to kick themselves in the nuts the day after like they did last year

And that's exactly why I think Florida and Ohio will go Kerry's way this year.

i'd never waited in line at my polling place until today. i usually have a few minutes to talk with my third-grade teacher, who works the signature books, but today was busy. the provisional ballot table was crowded. and my town's population is maybe 6000. i can't imagine how it is in cities.

I had a 30-40 minute wait at around 7a. Don't rule out heavy voting after business hours either. I used to vote after work and stopped doing so because of the crowds.
