Mine is 7 grand. That's from a combination of having a kid and my wife's job involving a lot of driving of her personal vehicle.

On the other hand, some of us are getting gang fucked from all angles!

And the kid credit wasn't really as much as folks made me think.

I did figure out a way to write off daycare for next year, though!

Got the house credit early - 8 grand.

Guess I'll get a kid credit, too. Hope to have taxes done in the next few weeks.

i was hoping to get the house credit. i "bought" my house during the qualifying year, but more specifically i refinanced it out of my ex's name. CPA says i'm disqualified.

3 kids + part-time employment + school = taking money out of Gar's pocket.

I got an email a week ago that they were bumping my refund up because I failed to make the stimulus truly work for me. I didn't question it.

Supposedly it's better to pay than get a refund. So you're not giving the government an interest-free loan or whatever.

My withholding is generally really close to what I end up owing so I usually don't get much of a refund or have to pay much. That's by no doing of my own. It just works out that way.
