As I said privately before, Phil you know how much I hate not being around to help. I'm sorry for the immediate pain, but Derris is correct that if done correctly, these things can see you come out the other side in short order a much happier, better man.

You still have the Hofner to snuggle with.

Shit, Phil. I'm sorry to hear it. Keep your head in a good place.

Really Timmy? I mean, I'm not surprised that it happened either based on how things have gone the last couple of years, although I am totally surprised at how it all came to fruition.

So why aren't you surprised... I mean, i thought you really didn't know her since you and the fam had moved to cincy before she and I started dating in 05.

Sorry Phil. You are right, I didn't know her that well, but you seemed to make more of an effort than her and she was more focused on work than you. That's just my 2 cents. It doesn't make her bad, it just put the both of you at 2 different positions on what you wanted out of the relationship. I don't know if there was more to it than growing apart (or not growing closer) but either way, this forum probably isn't the best place to air it out.

Edit: I could also be completely wrong in my observation of your relationship the day I had dinner at your house. I was only there once.

Exactly. And others from this same board, frankly. Not everybody gets it right the first try - most don't in fact.

Why do you think Rogneeb hates that the thread gets bumped every 6 months?

I am just sorry I waited so long to get my divorce. I've gotten so old now it will be difficult to rack up the 8 or 9 ex wives I was planning on.

My wife doesn't want to be alone with all 3 kids, so I am safe until they move out of the house.

+1

Plus I've still got the "where are you gonna go?" card to play for at least a couple more years until her career is full steam.

Yeah, you should keep a bag packed (like a pregnant chick) just in case she decides to give you the old Heave Ho.

I have no idea why FEMGAR even bothers to be seen with me, except that her family values and conservative upbringing really make divorce a negative in her mind. Thank God, because aside from making a little jack, and atleast acknowledging paternity of the baby, I'm a pretty fucking terrible person to have to know, much less be married to.
