My problem is less with what you did when you were young, hurt, pissed off and drunk than that with the benefit of probably 10 or more years of time and (I think) having a daughter, you still don't see anything wrong with it and with all the yahoos who think its a great story.
Even if you see nothing wrong with leaving her alone with no money at a deserted train station in the middle of the night, you probably had no business driving anywhere.

I'm not going to claim in the heat of anger, drunk and young that I would have been a perfect gentleman and handled the situation perfectly. If I had to guess, I probably would have called her a cunt and every synonym for whore that I could think of, told her I was going to bed alone and that she needed to figure out a plan for getting home on her own the next morning. In the morning, I'd probably have taken her to the bank or to pick up a wire transfer and dropped her at the train station or bus terminal or whatever her plan was and then never talked to her again. If she gave me more lip, maybe I would have done what you did. I wouldn't be proud of it today though if I did.

what hell - i leave for almost 2 years and bobo gets a divorce. DAMN. i am sorry to hear about it, but at the same time i think its a good thing for you (based on your posts).

I"m sorry to hear it. I wrote a rant about how you shouldn't. but I think you have and all I can is it will get better.

tomorrow marks one week in the new apartment. i've been up to see the kids a couple of times this week, and things generally are going ok, but i haven't slept well (better the last couple of nights, though) and have a weird feeling like i'm adrift or something.

it's hard to describe. i'm not necessarily depressed or really even all that unhappy, but i guess just kind of uneasy/unsettled. it's a very odd sensation.

All sounds eerily familiar, Bob. It's like the first night or two in a hotel, except the stay lasts a lot longer. It will pass.
