yeah, Spring 1990 is terrific. and the packaging/artwork is even better. they really do these things up right. i still (kinda) kick myself for not jumping on that '72 Steamer Trunk.

i'll just assume y'all got that Dave's volume 6? lemme know if not....

I'm actually listening to it for the first time today, so yeah, but thanks for the offer.

He looks to be fucked up on drugs or booze or something. But who knows, he's old and has been playing non stop lately and well . . . who knows. I hope he's okay.

This was a really fun show, and though I was too far away to see how he looked visually I thought Bobby sounded like Bobby.

One: Jack Straw, Crazy Fingers > Bird Song > Cumberland Blues, Doin' That Rag, Cosmic Charlie, In The Midnight Hour

Two: Mountains Of The Moon > Saint Stephen > Dark Star > Let It Grow > Days Between > Dark Star > Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower

Encore: Touch Of Grey

Also, for the bored, curious or truly insane, I've been listening to random soundboards occasionally and decided to listen to the first show I ever attended, 6/26/93. It's actually quite good (except for "Spoonful" which openly sucks) especially for this era.

does anyone have May 23, 24 and or 26 from the Europe 72 box set we mostly tour through?

I was about to throw away "Steppin' Out with the Grateful Dead" but half the tracks were from shows I missed.

also,
hello old thread.

Post subject:  Re: The Dead Thread: Official Live & Soundboard Recordings

does anyone have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrapin_Station_(Limited_Edition) or the show in some other format?

It was one of my first if not my first tapes and the archive.org versions are all pretty bad audience recordings. They pulled down the good recording once it was officially released. I guess that's why the drummers and the string guys are no longer friends?

I have the soundboards from those shows but not that specific release...I'll see if I can scare it up. If not, do you want the soundboards of the show? Because now I'm curious.

I'd actually prefer soundboards over the specific release as they seem to mess with song orders to fit the CD and throw in a song from a different night.

thank you.

I'll share my 15 year old hand done cover art.

This board is largely to blame for me going from a half ashamed dormant fan to an obsessive controlling my life fan. When did we do the Dick's Picks experiment? It sort of seems like ten lifetimes ago.

2009 I think?

At any rate, check your PM.

Edit: I'll up the soundboards at a later date, for now you get the release.

the release is fine, thanks. I have two versions of one show, but I don't think I need to increase that obsessive behavior.

I'm pretty sure it was earlier than 2009 but I can't find the original thread.

Almost exactly four years ago.

(I remembered it was 2009 because I remember working at home when my daughter was an infant and listening to them)

I guess I stopped working from home in 2010 and not 2009 like I was I thinking.

i remember our dick's picks exercise for aligning with my last months at my first job. it was productive only in listening to copious dead.

Indeed. Dumpjack, bring back the Dead mojo.

Speaking of...did anyone get links or whatnot for the Santa Clara shows? I streamed the 2nd night.

Streaming tonight; don't know if I'll stream the other nights. Got bills to pay, god dammit.

Was at the July 4th show and streamed the 5th. Good times. Made me reignite my desire for all things Dead for the first time in 20 or so years.
