No better or worse, just a different fetish.

What's even scarier is the can itself.

Good luck to all the fatties out there.

Between University (basically sitting read/writing/snacking 16 hours a day), busting my leg so I couldn't walk for a year and dating a chef I really piled on the pounds. Plus I'm getting old.

I don't go on scales, prefering the 'do my clothes fucking fit me' method of measuring weight, but I guess I'm about 250 lbs these days which is at least 30-40 lbs too much.

Trying to cut out the crap, eat a bit healthier and I'm getting up early and doing a 4.3 mile walk in the morning. My last time was 1 hour 13 minutes which ain't bad for a fatty (there is a couple 150 foot hills on the route) but I want to get down to about 1 hour 7 minutes which I think is possible. If I can do it in that time I'll assume I'm fitter and probably a bit lighter as well.

But I'm not running or jogging. Even if you are thin there is no dignity in that.

We need to have a celebration when you've lost a Squirrgle's worth.

Good news...keep it up.

Ever since having kid #2 in october my drive to go to the gym on a regular basis has been sapped. 2 years ago i started getting into cross-fit and saw a big improvement in strength but now i pretty much pick and choose a routine once or twice a week. Thankfully I'm the type of person that actually lost 20 pounds by not going to the gym, i need to go to the gym to maintain my weight. However i often use that as an excuse to skip working out.

I've been playing with the idea of giving up fast food and soda for a month and following the prescribed cross-fit work-outs to see what type of results i get. Maybe i'll target June for that.

Progress had stalled mightily last week, as I went more than five days without losing any weight, but something apparently kicked in/re-triggered after that, because I dropped enough over the weekend that my grand total to date is now 40.2 pounds lost.

This new regimen of walking 2+ miles at 5:30 every weekday morning seems to be paying some early dividends.

Holy shit, Bobbo. 40 pounds is a lot. That's 1/3 of a squirrgleweight.

Thanks, Todd and Kyle!

I am not quite within striking distance of the 200s just yet, but I can see 299 without using the Hubble Telescope.

Yeah dude, 40lbs is real weight. I lost 47 from my peak of FAAAAT in 2008 - and that took losing my gallbladder.

I'll have to look into that gallbladder shortcut...

One of my partners (who is a pretty robust gentleman) has started this regimen. Hope he has some success as well. It would be nice to have the both of you around for a good long time. Congrats on the success. Keep. It. Up.

i'd literally die of malnourishment if i ever got anywhere close to 200 - i'm shooting for 275, with the remote possibility of eventually targeting 250, which with my frame/bone structure would have me looking like the 6'5" male version of late-era Karen Carpenter

i'm sure your weight gain is only related to your pregnancy - congrats on that, by the way!
