Tough year...most of the stuff I dig from this era were singles, not many albums to speak of--singles and live recordings and singles comps only from thel likes of Chuck, JB, Screamin Jay, Link, the semi-comedy doo-wop outfits from the late 50's (Olympics et al), ...so I got one:

Note, jazz is an entirely different animal so I'm not delving into it.

Yeah, I don't have a whole lot from this year, but there are definitely some great jazz albums plus a few others.

Already mentioned:

Dylan - Freewheelin'
James Brown - Live at the Apollo
Sam Cooke - Night Beat
