I know that some of you hate some of these records (like Suede). But for me, these are the albums that really defined this year.

Awww SHIT.
I knew that I was missing something major. And I knew that it was local, too. My mind was just blanking.

A brain surgery moment.
Thanks.
Fixed.

I had to make another change. Almost forgot Martin Newell's best record, too.

Love that the image name has "pretentious" in it. I can't tell you how much I hate that album and band. #1 on my listhateia. If someone gave me the option of listening to no music at all or that album once and then whatever I wanted to hear, I'd probably go several years with listening to nothing before breaking down. HATE HATE HATE.

+1's on

Morphine
Teenage Fanclub
Aimee Mann
Afghan Whigs

I think that Suede album is just fine.

That Afghan Whigs, on the other hand, has always sounded pretty all-around crappy to me. Same for the Liz Phair, but I find it a little more tolerable.

Kind of surprised to be the first one to post these first three:

Nirvana - In Utero
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
The Flaming Lips - Transmissions from the Satellite Heart
Unrest - Perfect Teeth
Mercury Rev - Boces
µ-Ziq – Tango N’ Vectif
