D'oh!
I never think of that one as 69, because I always listen to it in the context of the Sounds of Our Time comp.
Good call, Billy. Going to replace one now.

EDIT: Fixed. Twice. (Swapped out Tommy for the Sly Stone record.)

Jesus. Too much to choose from.

Leonard Cohen~ Songs From A Room- genius. That's all.
Quicksilver Messenger Service~ Happy Trails- and I saw plenty listening to this over the years.
Johnny Winter~ Self-Titled- dude scared me to death. Had to bury the album cover in the stack when I was tripping.
Spirit~ Clear- probably the best of a damned good run.
Allman Brothers Band~ Self-Titled- O, what goodness this debut foretold; unfortunately, it left a trail of shitty imitators as well. And Scooter Herring, of course.
Steppenwolf~ Monster- as topical and relevant (and musically ferocious) as it was the day it was released.

I definitely would have chose this as one of the 6 but RYM doesn't list it as 1969 but AMG apparently does. tons of good stuff still not mentioned.
