Seriously, this is about as hard rocking a song as I have done since forming this band.
Equal parts Material Issue and Hüsker Dü, I think.
Anyway, it also has maybe the best guitar solo that I have committed to tape (yeah, I played this one). I'm really proud of it.

Also… free download if you like it.

Hope you check it out.

I definitely hear some shades of Hüsker Dü in this - great tune!

Thanks so much, Phil!
I have the ideas. I know some really good musicians who like playing and recording with me.
And, now that I've learned patience, it just comes down to getting the resources that I need to record properly -- time and money. Sadly, both of those are in short supply in my world.
Thankfully, I was able to swing it with this song and "We Made It To the Middle."

And I really appreciate your feedback, brother. You know how much I respect you as a musician. (Just as much as everybody else here does!)

Good tune Todd. Well done.

What did you record that with?

Thanks so much!

Recorded it at my friend John's (secondary) studio. His primary place is up in his home in Baraboo, WI, but he maintains a place on the West Side of Chicago, too - to make it easier to record his friends and also to work when he is back home visiting friends and family.
I've recorded a few other songs with him before, too.
I think that he uses Logic. Of course, I am not totally sure. But he does have a nice variety of microphones, too.

And it was a real band behind me, not samples and such. We recorded the basics live, then overdubbed vocals, tambourine, and the guitar solo.
