I really like the M. Ward, and that Jurado has its moments, as well.

I definitely dig that I Don't Cares. Gave Benji Hughes a try, but it wasn't my bag.

That Benji Hughes has a different vibe but I love the spirit of it. Kind of like a shaggier Midnight Vultures-era Beck, minus the Scientology.

Just grabbed the new one from Klaus Johann Grobe. Only one listen so far, but it's fairly lovely. Soft, gentle, Krautrock that should appeal to you folks who like Stereolab, Can, and Air.

I'll post this here on the unlikely chance someone might want to dl.

I don't necessarily like all albums represented (and some are only singles), but these are my favorite individual songs I've found so far this year:

1. The Wild Feathers - Happy Again
2. Muncie Girls - I Don't Want to Talk About It
3. Jack Oblivion & the Sheiks - Fast Friends
4. Javier Escovedo - Downtown
5. The I Don't Cares - Born for Me
6. Bleached - Sour Candy
7. Hinds - Chili Town
8. Propeller - You Remind Me of You
9. Aubrie Sellers - Dreaming in the Day
10. Dany Laj & the Looks - Small Town Kid
11. M. Ward - Time Won't Wait Up
12. Mother's Children - No Rules
13. Public Access TV - On Location
14. Tacocat - I Hate the Weekend
15. Cheap Star - The Other Side
16. The Breakdowns - Your Hand in Mine
17. Dr. Dog - Dead Record Player
18. Wyldlife - (It's Called) Rock 'n' Roll
19. Ginger Wildheart - Do You?
20. Bent Shapes - Realization Hits
21. Benji Hughes - Longshot
22. Basia Bulat - Long Goodbye

-yoink-

Also, I have really been digging that Twin Peaks album that's about to come out (already on Spotify). Like, "I got tickets to go see them" digging it, which is rare for me. I never initiate going to shows.

I still don't have a 2016 album but I nearly bought Night Beat's 'Who Sold My Generation' today.

It's OK, not great.

I didn't know about the new one, Cap'n. That's great news - I really liked "Wild Onion."

At this point it's just the single. I'm hoping there's a new one coming. Ditto Public Access TV and Wyldlife.

Just listened to it yesterday and it kicks a fairly large amount of ass.

Status updated to I've got tix and a friend to crash with so I'm fucking there!

Edit - Also I've heard the album leak. Pretty good upon first listen but not quite NVM levels. But I don't know if NVM can be topped anyway. Lead track is called "Dana Katherine Scully" so I'm sure indie dorks such as myself are melting across the country.

My first ranking. It's still early and although I've listened to a lot of music so far this year, only two albums deserve to make my list right now.

1. The Cradle - Temperate Lands

2. Nuns - Albeit Tomorrow
