The Josh Ritter is very strong, IMO; stronger than anything he's done in a while. Either he's got a different band behind him, or his usual guitar player has been in the garage with bleeding fingers for a while. Fucking guy gets nuclear in spots. |

The two Big Thief albums + Purple Mountains made up my top 3 of the year. Also really enjoyed the Weyes Blood, Wand, and Julia Jacklin albums. Could never really get into this Sharon Van Etten album for whatever reason. Omni seems like a band I might like, and they're local. Have you seen them? |
