...instead of browsing through big long lists, and hoping the other person wants something from mine.
I've got no suggestions apart from creating a Lala type system which would be a little silly.

I think big long lists are fine. The problem is that no one's posting any big long lists.

If you're looking for something specific you can just do a search of this forum.

Yeah, I think this thing would organize itself just great if everyone could post a list of the stuff they want to get rid of.

Then you wouldn't have to worry about guessing what other people will want.

how about each person has their own thread, so to speak, (i.e. timmyjoe 42's trade list) and you can update that with your stuff you want to trade, i.e. YOU are responsible for adding/deleting to the list. It's not rocket science, folks.

edit: oh, and I got nothing... I managed to pawn a Wolfmother cd on a guy I know this weekend for helping me move stuff. If anyone has a spare vacuum cleaner, let me know. ;)

Well, yeah. That's pretty much exactly what I meant.

Seemed like the whole thing was pretty self-explanatory.

I don't know about other people but my main problem is I have very few cd's I actually want to get rid of.

Thanks to downloading, I don't buy anything unless I'm certain I'm going to like it. And old stuff that was kicking around probably got sold off to the used cd store a while ago.

Where'd you move to? You moved out of that house? I thought you loved it.
We actually have a second vacuum. I wonder what shipping on that thing would be. :P

Aaron, what is this search function you speak of? ;)
good idea. I guess the simple things are easiest.

For lala members, post a link to your have/want list (though posting your have list won't work if you list everything you own, not just what you want to get rid of). Though you'd still have to browse the list, it would save the hassle of updating two different sites.

If you only post a link to your Lala "Haves" or a Lala "Set" it is not searchable using obner.
