wants me to teach her about rap we were at a bar the other night and "scenario" came on and she didn't know it. i said "we really have our work cut out for us don't we?" she's open to foul language and misogyny though, so that really makes things easier on me. |

are you trying to get her to like rap or just know about it. In the case of the former, throw the bulk of the Native Tongues' catalogue at her, if the latter, buy her the Wu book and te Ego trip book of rap lists and she can study the shit outta those. Doesn't KRS-One teach a course about this? or Chuck D? His column on the web is close enough... |

i want her to like and learn, i think the two go hand in hand. from a mix i made her and picking songs out from when i DJ, her favorites are "99 problems" and "bad bitch" by the yin yang twins and mike jones. So my nomral native tounges "my first hip hop" aproach might not be necissary. |
