I don't get it. These dudes can flow, but the openly whack choruses/hooks definitely detract from overall enjoyment. Especially on Trill.

i concede that the hooks arent as sharp or poppy as on lord willin. like trill and dirty money for example, the beats are nice but the hooks are a bit out of sync, and really, dont really go anywhere. its (meant to be) a mean and lean affair, and in a way this enhances the album more than detracts. 'grindin' didnt really hit me in its full bass echo goodness til like 2 years laters. and i think 'ride around shinin' is the grindin of this album. not nearly as good, but yeah

if 'eghk' or 'zen' were here it wouldda been amazing tho. also, they do flow real nice, but there's also nothing here as good as malice's second verse on 'hate it or love it' or pusha's last verse on 'queen bitch'. i dunno, maybe they are a bit too punch-line-y here, they're way better than that. but the delivery on teh 1st track is demonic and the accordion on 'momma im so sorry' AAHHHH
