Anyone hear it yet ? I think some of the beats are pretty slammin' and the best from the RZA in a while. Overall I give the whole album about a 6.5 out of 10. One or two of the tracks are straight skippers but overall not that bad..Better than that Iron Flag and that The W mess.. http://ongakubaka.blogspot.com/ |

My eyes are peeled. Aside from the RZA, he's the hardest working Wu member. I saw Ghost last week with Rakim and Brother Ali. Ghost's set was your typical 5 dudes on stage yelling stuff show, but Rakim was alone and killed it. Backed by a live band, Don't sweat the technique never sounded so good. |

I was listening to that ODB tribute last night and surprised myself by liking it. Ghost being the only Wu member not on that track is odd, though. |

yeah there's some good songs on this but i think i liked iron flag better. the odb tribute song is pretty excellent though and anyone who doesn't like ghostface's verse on the heart gently weeps doesn't like rap. |

the more i listen to this the more i like it, not sure were id rank it in their albums though it doesnt really have bangers the same way the other albums did, and lyrically isnt on par, but its remarkably consistent and maintains a certain mood better than any since 36 Chambers. the production is the most paranoid, ominous, claustrophobic shit RZAs done since Cuban Linx, but in a different way - i guess Cuban Linx was cocaine paranoia, this is way-too-much weed paranoia It seems more like a solely RZA-run show than any before though, which is a shame i guess |
