there are a few tracks that I don't mind, but this is kind of awful...it's all been downhill since College Dropout, imo.

I thought College Dropout was far superior to his subsequent releases, but I gotta say I'm enjoying the new one. It's a whole new direction and it's nice to see. After his debut I kinda thought we were getting mostly just lesser versions of the same thing. This one is another animal all together and I like it quite a bit so far. He didn't totally hit it out of the park, but he's taking a lot of chances with this one and I think mostly it's paid off. |

with all the other rappers who have made their critic slurping "weird" album, i don't see this as a huge risk. I'm incredibly sick of the pitch fix effect, but I try not to judge these songs based only on that. I listened to it all the way through once and while that's a bad way to judge an album, my reaction was that it was really boring and filled with song sketches that were nowhere near finished songs. He's a terrible singer, which is fine for the occasional rap chorus, but not a full song let alone a full album. |

He's a terrible singer. exactly, stick to rapping or producing...I appreciate him trying to push the boundries and whatnot, but the simple fact is, this isn't all that good. |

yeah auto-tune is okay in moderation but a whole album of it is overkill. i thought there were some good songs on this but a LOT of outright terrible ones, more so than usual. |

There are no real singles on this but I'm kind of intrigued and impressed with it. It is pretty interesting in how far it is from his last two albums. Probably make him a bigger star in Europe. I'll be curious as to whether this is a one-off departure or a style change going forward. Might be the most accurately titled album of the year. |

I get the impression that Kanye was listening to "In the Air Tonight" a lot when making 808s and Heartbreaks. The album's awesome by the way. I don't even mind the ridiculous amount of auto-tune abuse. |

i decided to give the album another try. There are some interesting ideas and a few good melodies, but it sounds and feels like a half baked demo. It's a chore to get through, still not feeling it. |
