Interesting concept. I'd have to find a way to skirt around including music that everyone knows already.

Cure's "Apart" hit a little too close to home, so I'd have to include it on mine.
Stranglers' "Mad Hatter" captures that carefree Muppet-like quality in me.
Stabbing Westward's entire Darkest Days album is pretty much me in one of my darker moods. If I had to pick one song, it'd be "Waking Up Beside You".

I think people might go insane listening to a mix of me.

Well it doesn't really "matter." It's just my personal preference. I figure if I am going to mail 20 or so mix CDs, they may as well contain songs that aren't as well known (by my definition anyways - some may think an artist like SF59 are big). It's my own small way of helping smaller artists get more recognition I guess. It seems the point of these mix exchanges is usually to introduce folks to music they might not otherwise check out on their own. That's pretty much why I do it....and I like the prospect of getting introduced to stuff I'm not currently familiar with (which is a lot), but might like.

But if you absolutely feel "Paranoid Android" or "I Turn My Camera On" need to be on there...run with it.

i just feel like....
if it's a SELF PORTRAIT....
the ONLY thing that should matter in your song choices....
are that the songs say something about YOU and YOUR life.
