Ike Reilly

This one was tough. It's top heavy with songs from his debut, which is obviously my fave, and then each successive album gets represented at least once.

1. Last Time
2. Angels & Whores
3. Commie Drives A Nova
4. Hip Hop Thighs #17
5. The Boat Song (We're Getting Loaded)
6. Holiday in New York
7. Fish Plant Rebellion (alt.)
8. Valentine's Day in Juarez
9. New Assassination Blues
10. I Will Let You Down

Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ddt1xb9qt2x

RIYL: tough-ass singer songwriters, punk energy, bad attitudes, watching planes go down in flames

2. Rock The Bells
3. I'm Bad
4. I Need Love
5. I'm the Type of Guy
6. Going Back to Cali
7. Jack The Ripper
8. Big Ole Butt
9. The Boomin' System
10. Mama Said Knock You Out

Joe Bataan

1. Special Girl (Subway Joe)
2. Gypsy Woman (Gypsy Woman)
3. My Cloud (Riot)
4. Mi Nube (Salsoul)
5. Johnny (Salsoul
6. Ordinary Guy (Afro Filipino)
7. I See Your Hiney (Mestizo)
8. Mestizo II (II)
9. Call My Name (Call My Name)
10. Chick-A-Boom (Call My Name)

The first three songs showcase his doo wop influences. The next three come from the period where he started blending soul with latin rhythms. The next two are from the disco years and especially in the case of "I See Your Hiney" have a high cheese factor. The last two are from his 2005 comeback album.

RIYL: Doo Wop, the Fania style Spanish Harlem sound, slow grooves and great vocals.

This band was instrumental in my musical development. Probably too simplistic for most people here, I personally find their songs to be pretty ace. Understands atmosphere and how to utilize a voice. The lead singer kind of reminds me of Henry Rollins from an attitude perspective, not sound. Also, when I first came to this board I thought of track 8 for probably-obvious reasons.

01. Minuteman (Speakeasy)
02. Devil (Friction)
03. We'll Sort This Out Right Now (How To Live With A Curse)
04. Acquiesce (Absolutes)
05. Suffocate Me (Friction)
06. Keep Waiting (Speakeasy)
07. Future History of the Broken Hearted (How To Live With A Curse)
08. Shiv (Absolutes)
09. Threshold (Friction)
10. Sundown Motel (Speakeasy)

Sufjan Stevens

Like the Wildhearts, this one should really be offered by Diggity Dawg. Also like the Wildhearts, there's probably not that many Obners who are gonna like this - it's high energy, extremely melodic rock 'n' roll with a punk energy and a pro-tools sheen. The debut still ranks in my top 10 of this decade.
