Was wondering when we'd get a new one from him. Thanks for the heads-up, just placed my order.

You heard any of the new Sour Jazz yet? Nippon Twist is my favorite song so far this year.

Very much so. Wish they'd play somewhere west of the Hudson.

Nice Rads. I got a few of those bands on my '09 so far as well. Vcr and Call Me nailed my choices as well.

Rads, if you dig the Radio Faces album, you should check out the Used Kids. i think their album is on Dirtnap, and it's Nato and Mikey from the Radio Faces (and also Danny who was in the Modern Machines with Nato) and it's great.

What's the concept behind this best of the decade? Is this your top 20 songs of the decade or one song each from your top 20 albums of the decade? If its the later, there are a bunch of albums on here that I didn't realize you liked THAT much. For example, I probably need to give more listens to that Bicycle Thief album. I love "Rainin' (4AM)" but nothing else on it reasonated nearly as much with me.

The latter. There's some other albums that could easily have been on the list instead. Joe Henry's Scar, for example, is a top 20 for me, but there's just no way to put one of those songs on this mix without rendering the whole unlistenable. But even given that, these songs represent 20 albums that I'll stand behind as my faves of the decade.

Scar is the one w/ Ornette Coleman? I'm not sure I really listened to that one. I liked Tiny Voices a lot when it came out but I haven't played it in years. Not sure it would make a top of the decade list.
