This is what I whipped up for South Pacific nee Whispering Soliloquy's mix exchange:

11. New Model Army: 225
12. Andy Prieboy: Loving The Highway Man
13. Skafish: I Might Move In Next Door
14. The Flys: Energy Boy
15. The Vapors: Johnny's In Love Again
16. A House: Stone The Crows
17. The New Christs: No Next Time
18. Guadalcanal Diary: Pretty Is As Pretty Does
19. The Cleaners From Venus: Julie Profumo

Holy shit. I can't believe anyone else bought that album. Or did he have more than one? I remember really digging "Disgracing The Family Name" - but didn't really like the rest of the LP all that much. He was from Chicago, wasn't he?

He had two that I know of, that I own. The tune you remember was off his "other" one, from which my fave is "We'll See A Psychiatrist".

"Sign of the Cross" was on of the highlights of Urgh!, but to my knowledge, never appeared as a studio cut.

Frostingspoon could probably clue us in further.
