Post subject:  giving to friends of friends.
a friend of a friend has been through a difficult first-half of the year and, thus, hasn't been keeping up with anything new in music. he asked my friend to make him some mixes, but she's been busy with work, so she asked me to make one. he's apparently heard the a lot of popular stuff, but hasn't quite had the time to dig a little deeper. so, i made this for him at her request.

robbers on high street - hot sluts (say i love you)

hold steady - chicago seemed tired last night

havana guns - she always goes down
maxi geil & playcolt - a message to my audience
tom vek - i ain't saying my goodbyes
soft lighties - the robots in my bedroom were playing arena rock
wintersleep - jaws of life
shout out louds - very loud
matson jones - welcome back, mr audiotechnica
sambassadeur - between the lines
mew - comforting sounds

wow. i had no idea it was from 2003. (thank you, allmusic.) i really slept on that. i'd love to hear some new stuff too, but haven't heard anything.
