...why I've gotten over 40 hits on this post ( http://obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=565 ... b356c0c396 ), offering a comp, and no one has asked for one, let alone even responded? Is it my breath? Is it the mention of the word "country"? It's a great mix of music, if I don't say so myself. Are musical tastes here at Obner that narrow? I'm not mad, just perplexed. Thanks, fp |

I'll give you my reason. I already feel guilty accepting mixes that others have sent me when I can't reciprocate. Not because I don't want to but because I don't have CD writing capabilities. I hope to...soon. So, I basically don't ask unless it's offered directly to me. (After posting this, I read it again and it comes off as sounding I might be begging for you to offer me one, which is not the case. This is not coming across the way I wanted.) |

This board was born October 25, 2004 and we are all still actuating to having this forum again. Some people really get into mixes (bort is king) and most are traded via slsk but now I’m sure CC will be the choice forum. Alt-country is not a bad word around here at all as stuff like Sufjan Stevens and Iron and Wine are highly praised in these parts. Your mix looks interesting and nothing I would normally seek out but now you have me very curious, I would like to hear it if there are still copies lying around. A exchange is in order, maybe a shoegazer mix or some under the radar bands from 2004. |
