Continuing the lurkers-making-themselves-known parade, hi. Mostly in it to keep up with new bands and pop culture buzz, so thanks to all I suppose.

Hello there.
That was the same reason I started, back when we were all at CMJ.com.
Now, I'm freaking addicted.
It's a good kind of addiction, though.
And welcome.

When I was little "Toad's Wild Ride" was one of my favourite rides at Disneyland.

Welcome, Undertoad! Hope you'll participate now and then! How'd ya find us? Who are you listening to these days?

Thanks all. Aside from loving the obvious heavies (Beatles, Stones, Dylan), my favorite is Talking Heads, but also Wilco, Apples in Stereo, Beck...stuff that is fun and or "makes you feel smart." Lately, Stellastarr*, Arcade Fire, Black Keys, Bees, and the Ponys. I have picked up a few samples from the board of the new Franz Ferdinand and Wolf Parade and like that stuff, too. Any thoughts on some other bands in a some what similar vein to check out?

Check out the latest Nick Cave - Lyre Of Orpheus/Abbatoir Blues.
It's amazing.

Also (the regulars are gonna roll their eyes and laugh)... Shrimp Boat is the best band you never heard. Think old Camper Van Beethoven crossed with The Sea & Cake, The Carter Family, and Sun Ra. Brilliant.
