Now I feel like I'm no longer needed here. Well, I never refer Atlanta as "the ATL" though, as my lifestyle is about as non-crunk as it gets.

The rest of my stuff:

Age: 25 (Sept. 13)
Work: graphics/ animation
Bands I Like Lately: The Kinks, Neil Young, Animal Collective, Wolf Eyes, Magnolia Electric Co./Songs:Ohia/Jason Molina, Brian Eno, etc., etc....

I've met nobody from the board yet. Maybe I'll meet up with some of the other Southern boarders sometime. Anybody going to the Wolf Eyes of Animal Collective/ Black Dice shows @ MJQ in Nov.?

So make the drive!

Unless of course they're playing somewhere closer to you. And I guess it's probably on a weeknight...

But do it anyway!

You're only as crunk as you feel--its a state of mind.

i might be up for that show at MJQ; also DBT is playing the Tabernacle Nov. 27 if you are so inclined...

If Chicago is the "second city" we gotta make Hotlanta the "third city" at least in the context of Obner...

My name is Darrin. I'm 30 years old and live just outside Glasgow, Scotland.

Because I hate society, I live in a sort of fantasy world were I can ignore reality and just listen to music all day whilst coped up in a tiny room of a slum flat. I only go outside for three reasons. 1) to buy records 2) to go to the library and 3) to sign on the dole and leach an other £151 for the decent hard working taxpayer. I don't have a job because I'm incapable of working. I've been sacked or quit 11 times in the last 6 years, so I've sort of given up working for a living. I intend to go to University next year to study for an MA in Classical Studies because I like old stuff and people one or more 'x' in their name. Other than that I have no plans other than to dreamily meander around in a self created daze and studiously avoid looking at my credit card bill.

My record collection exceeds 1,500. I'd guess about 1843 but I could be wrong. I have met and bored rigid three CMJ'ers. Aural Fixation (Tania), Sketch (Colin) and Katie_A Princess (eh...Katie) although they are all to nice to admit it. Since you've stop reading, I'll stop writing. Ta, ta.

Okay, well...

I'm Steve a resident of Georgia after living the first 33 years of my life in NY.

I became a teenager in 1980 and graduated college in 1989 and that pretty much sums up the decade of music that means the most to me.

I'm a fairly regular poster who nevertheless has a low profile(at least I think)

Other than music I'm pretty obsessive about movies and am always reading something or other.

Friends. family and my doggy mean the world to me. My wife is my best friend.

Before this sounds like an add on match.com I'll stop.

Steve

hobbies: This is all I do. This and watch reruns of Charmed and pluck cat hairs off my lap. Once or twice a month I invade a small nation or knit sock puppet replicas of Renaissance masterworks.

married: yes

kids: yes

happy: yes

rich: no. give me money. I'm loveable and deserve it.

location: About 50 miles north of the end of I-95.

I also founded the Beastie Boys and have been a sex advisor to Ghadafi's gardener.

My friends had me drowned but it hasn't slowed me down much.

I firmly believe that a single pirahna would be quite amiable and would likely be a good sport at Old Maid and Crazy Eights and not at all apt to engage in any of that "eating your flesh off" pack mentality.

I've been known to drink.

I look like a 15 year old girl in Anthony Michael Hall's body.

Not all cheeses taste good.

Some soundwaves I prefer hearing. Occasionally they're the same soundwaves other people like hearing and we talk about it. That's called a "music message board." It's qual.

Travelled some. Done things. One adventure here

I like Beulah, butterhorns, Buber, bayonettes, bar bells, Billy Joel, barnacles, bay leaves, baklava, The Bangs, The Beatles, black holes, Bartleby the Scrivner, Ba'hai, Brutus, Broken Social Scene, beds, boxer shorts, Built to Spill, belts, Baja California, boxes, besos, Boston, babes, and scarves.

Didn't I say I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich?

Hey everyone. My name is Andy and I live in Indianapolis. I'm Haq's older bro and twice as cool if you can believe that. He's been telling me for years to join the CMJ site but I never got around to it.

Musically speaking Dinosaur Jr. is my favorite band and has been for about 10 years. I'm less obsessed with them these days (mainly because they broke up years ago and J Mascis isn't active enough on his own to hold my interest very long), so I try to stay up on trends and new bands but fall behind fairly frequently which is where you all come in.

My guess is you'll either rarely hear from me or I'll end up blowing off work a lot to try to keep up.

Hi, Andy! Welcome to our humble home. You realize now that you've revealed your Aaron's brother, we'll want to grill you about all his sordid little secrets. Meet me behind the bleachers, we'll talk! ;)
