Hello folks; here's me

- grew up in ATL

- college in Athens, GA (AKA working at Taco Stand; playing music for free)

- just moved to CA

- love the rock. mellowed more now into indie and alt-country from the brazen days of punk youth yore

- Cap'n Squirrgle made me do it

- oh, yeah - beer. And liquor. (I hear it's quicker.)

Yay! Another California resident in our midst! Which part of CA are you in?

Welcome, Old KY, to our obsession while we're supposed to be working. Which bands/artists are ya diggin' on these days? Have a flavour of the month?

And, you're more than welcomed to any parties we have -- we love those who are willing to imbibe alcoholic bevvies with us. ;)

I've been in San Diego almost a year now. Long enough to make all my friends here completely sick of hearing about "Athens bands". But I push them on the poor saps anyway. I can't help it, I love the scene there.

My flavours of the week are Iron and Wine (the new Woman King EP is quite tasty), Phosphorescent (sp?), and Band of Horses, who my financee knows personally and is trying to get me into. She also grew up in the same town as Sam Beam from Iron and Wine, so we can't wait for them to come out here. I think all 3 are touring together.

Flavours of the month? Maybe that Nouvelle Vague album (what a trip), Arcade Fire, and my new home-team Pinback.

I think Pinback and Autolux are my favorite West-Coast finds so far. I don't even know if Pinback counts because they're everywhere. Any West-Coast reccommendo? The more local to SD the better.

Greetings, Old Ky. My name is Colin, and I'm an American (Toledo OH -> Penn State -> Denver) who's been in England the past three years. I like tacos. Welcome to this here place.

Oh snap, it IS you. I saw your name in a thread just now, and thought "holy crap, somebody's ripping Brian off!" Disregard that PM, then, I guess.

He's good people, people. Our bands shared a practice space, then we worked at the same place (Taco Stand, naturally), then we were roommates for a bit. But that's as far as it went, no phsyical contact.

Yo!
Welcome aboard!
I've been to SD once and saw Cornelius at the Casbah while I was there. Great band. Great venue. I'm sure you've probably been there already.

Oh yeah!
Nice to have you here at the OB (and I don;t mean Ocean Beach).

Good to have you. Leave your shoes near the door and help yourself to whatever you can find in the fridge.

I saw Autolux live a couple of months ago and it was awesome! Actually, I was whispering in one of the bandmate's ear (Greg) and my boyfriend threw a huge fit in the venue thinking I was making out with him! Greg and I had a good laugh.
Anyway. Great band.
Welcome Kentucky!

I'm from Minneapolis, we saw them at the Triple Rock. They opened for Ambulance LTD, another one of my favorites.

And yah, he's hot!
