Hi, well I went over to CMJ trying to find refuge from another music bulletin board and was directed here. Board I left (ok, well the one I refuse to contribute to anymore) is so full of drama and in-fighting, it really is silly that they don't talk about music much. So I'm here to try and see what you folks are talking about, learn about new music, etc. I have a wide range of musical tastes--old, new and lots in between....Beatles, Roy Harper, X, Clash, Echo and the Bunnymen, Simple Minds, Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, Throwing Muses, Slowdive, Stereolab, Maria McKee, Lida Husik, Lush, Ivy, Belle and Sebastian, Supergrass, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Elliott Smith...lately, been listening a lot to Andrew Bird, Midlake, Luke Temple, The Faraway Places, Spoon...I dunno, tons really...I just love music! xo |

Welcome, Mice! I think you'll fit in just fine. We sometimes fight but it's like brother-sister fights...you know you'll probably still get a Christmas present at the end of it all. |

If I had to choose 10 albums to be stuck on a desert island with, I'd defintely have to either take "New Gold Dream" or "Sparkle in the Rain". I'd lean towards "Sparkle" though. I've got some of their old stuff from early 80s on vinyl. Thanks for the welcome!
