Spencer is having an issue where attempting to reply gets him shipped back to the main page. Anybody else have this problem?

Seems to be working alright now. I'll let you know if it starts acting up again.

I had the same problem, maybe 3 or 4 times earlier today. It has since stopped.

I think it only happened when I clicked on the POST REPLY button at the TOP of the page, never when I clicked on the POST REPLY button at the bottom of the page.

When it was giving me the finger, I tried both the top and bottom post reply buttons and it didn't make a difference.

I just changed some settings that may have helped. Try logging out & closing your browser then trying again if you are having problems.

Also, make sure your browser is accepting session cookies, at least from www.obner.org.

Oh, and changing this settings will have fucked with a lot of people's "read" markings. Sorry about that.

It's making me re-login every time now. Is that purposeful?

Yep. It's still giving me the :flipoff: and sending me to the forums page. No big deal, just thought I should let you know.

Hm. I don't know why it's doing that. Is that happening to others?

I was having major problems using the AOL browser (couldn't log in, being returned to the main page etc etc).

But I've changed my browser to Firefox and it seems to be working OK again and without hitch.

My advice if your having problems - change browser!

One thing that also might help is making sure you're going to www.obner.org and not just obner.org, because that's where the cookie's from.

I'm having problems with logging -- evertime I leave the site, it logs me off and I have to log back on again. I wasn't having problems before, it started today.

Ditto - I was about to post this same thing when I saw this post complaining of the same problem - other than that everything's great :)

Only trouble I'm seeing is having to click the log-in link at the top of the page every time I come back to the site. Also have to do this if I click on a poll thread.

Ok, I'm sort of on the trail of this problem. I think it's an IE issue. The problem is that it's redirecting you to "obner.org" everytime you go to "www.obner.org". Since the cookie is from the latter, it thinks you're logged out. One way to temporarily get around this is to bookmark the URL right after you log in - this preserves the session ID and will allow you to link back to your session. I will fix this.
