Hey ROCK.
So... what kind of rock?
Cock rock?
Acid rock?
Igneous rock?

Welcome!

Igneous rock! Hahahhaaa!! You made Rock laugh. That is good.

One part power metal, one part stoner/doom and a vocalist who can actually sing is my *current* cocktail of choice.

Bottoms up!

You know the band SOiL?
Kinda clasic metal sound.

I used to work with Tim, the bassist.
Even jammed with him once, but our styles are so different, it just didn't work out.

Still, a real damn nice guy. And if you like classic metal, I suggest some SOiL to ya. The original singer wanted a bit too much to be James Hetfield, but they's still pretty damn good.

Soil, eh? Not much info on them at the aLlMuSiC oracle. I'll make a note of them, and that you said they rock.

Let me toss out a name: Grand Magus (www.grandmagus.com)

I think there are some mp3s at their site if you wish to partake, Todd.

Thanks for the welcome, obners.

I like the latest Opeth GHOST REVERIES. Have you heard that one? One of the main things I like about it is less growling. I'm not big on the growling; I'm kind of old school that way. Do you like Orange Goblin?

Don't know them... or much else stoner metal outside the big boys (Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Monster Magnet). Dig the stuff; it's just nor a priority.

Okay, how about Hellfueled? It's like Ozzy/Zak Wilde turned up to 11. :) They have a website with mp3s methinks if you'd like to check it out. If you are strictly modern metal, it may not appeal.

I went to the cmj board, and saw a thread about coming here, so I did. Though this forum may be a bit too "indie" for me. We'll see.
