Then you might dig Shotgun & Jaybird. Saw these guys here a few weeks ago - they're on Sappy Records (label started by members of Eric's Trip)

Here's their EP, which is a very enjoyable listen.

The other day, I found a ticket stub from a Pavement show in 1999. I don't even remember that show...must've not been memorable.

i saw pavement in '99, too. wish i was half the fan i am now, would've probably been a better show.

they sound almost EXACTLY like Butterglory
(who used to be described at pavement rip off's)

Totally disagree. They did become "uneven", but on a good night they were still one of the most interesting bands ever. I've seen Pavement 12-14 times. Name a band that's broken after 1999 that has even a touch of their intelligence, heart, and force. (Interpol, Arcade Fire or Freak Folk responses will be deleted).
