Right on, this is a great question. There are so many possibilities here. The above mentioned songs are great picks, especially Bad moon rising and Ghostbusters


Somebody's watchin me--Rockwell

When you're evil--Voltaire

People are strange--The Doors

Don't fear the Reaper--Blue Oyster Cult

Cry Little Sister--Danzig

Hell- Squirrel Nut Zippers

Exorcist Theme--Tubular Bells

Highway to Hell--AC/DC

You should definitely check out the music from Nox Arcana. They make some of the best atmospheric gothic music i've heard. It's all instrumentals. Their music offers a vivid ambient setting. Look for their album, Carnival of Souls.
