I:
- am older than yr favorite Granny, but according to my kidz, kewler than the other side of yr pillow-
- am a Floridian by the best of luck, a Las Vegan (30 months) for a paycheck only-
- am a semi-regular at Rave Recs and audiokarma-
- do not listen to the radio-
- tend to read more than post-
- like twangy tunes better than most other types-
- am pleased to meet all the Obners-

Current Favorite Recent Release: Joseph Arthur, Our Shadows Will Remain- so good it's scary.

Closest I can tell he's getting to me is Salt Lake City, and that's not very close. Las Vegas only ever gets Smothers Brothers, Sheena Easton, and the occasional Metallica.............bleah.

:nono:

No no, Ten. Joseph is doing two shows in LA (www.troubadour.com). It's only four hours away from Vegas...and even shorter if you fly.

Helloze tentoze

Welcome to 'da Obnerian fray.

I'm Todd and I'm older than your average 30-year-old (by a few years) and I too like the twangy stuff. I also like the jangly stuff (and am therefore, a big Gene Clark fan). And I tend to like quite a bit of ugly-sounding stuff as well.

I hope you enjoy your time here. You know Tania from the "Outside", I assume?

My name is Colin. I am further away than your average American citizen. I turn 30 next year. My favorite music tends to be crunchy but enjoy the twang among other things.

Thanks for being here and stuff.

Danke for the welcomes.

Todd: No, I do not know Tania from anywhere.

Colin: Being old and stupid, I dunno what crunchy stuff sounds like. But if it counts for anything, I like the Waitsian proto-junkpile percussion thang going on in Mark Lanegan's Bubblegum.......
