Tee, does that red/blue world map represent cricket playing/non-cricket playing countries?

No. Countries in blue drive on the left side of the road.

As far as I know, the Japanese don't play (much) cricket.

When we go up north, people say we have southern accents, which is mind-boggling.

Years ago, my wife and her family went to Maine and every restaurant they went to, no waitress could understand her dad--who had a very, very mild WV accent.

The tactile maps shown here are taken from the Atlas of the United States Printed for the Use of the Blind, published in 1837. This precious, curious edition had a minuscule print run: no more than 50 copies were produced, for the New England Institute for the Education of the Blind. Only five copies now survive. The Atlas consists of 24 state maps, each accompanied by a text describing the state and explaining the symbols used.

Connection between this map and the metal-bands-per-capita map?
