Takes him 10 minutes or so to stop being fascinated with you, then he's fine. And he's young... it gets better.

AGIB > YHF

The noise fest gets tiresome but overall I think AGIB has better songs. And most of the noise stuff is really only focused on two songs. It's not as cohesive of an album but I never really cared for that kind of thing anyway. I like Highway 61 better than Blonde on Blonde (Not that Blonde on Blonde isn't one of the greatest rock albums ever).

I think I hate the 10:00 minute songs, and I liked the first one, but then by the time it was done, I was sick of it.

I think Wilco were just being assholes with the song, "Less Than You Think." When you look at the track listing you think "hmmmm....a 15 minute song" and then you find out most of the track is less a song than you would think. In fact, I think a good 4 minutes or so is actually a song.

Not a big fan of AGIB. I love all the rest of their albums but only like Theologians and Hummingbird off this one.

I just think it's too experimental and blah.

Everytime I've seen them since AGIB, they've played mostly AGIB.

Again, besides two songs I find this album to be less experimental than YHF.

its funny, and I alluded to this last week, but I relistened to Being There in full last weekend, and it just re confirmed my belief that people done went clazy when they say that YHF or AGIB are a huge leap or "experimental" in comparison. They added some wankery and vaguer lyrics. C'est tout.

Being There rocked out. It's an incredible album. As is Summerteeth. YHF had some moving and beautifully written songs, but AGIB was just plain aggravating.

For me AGIB is more about Guitars than Experimental Noise. Just my take. And I agree with elephantstone about it being better live. They have fun with the rawkin out, which doesn't come across as much on the album.

Then sell your tickets. Their first show on this tour was about 80% AGIB. Seemed liked they played the whole album. Maybe a song or two off of YHF. One song each off of the rest.

Saw them on Halloween and it was a giant mix of all albums and they rocked out some beauties many wouldn't expect.

Their set lists ALWAYS shift from show to show but most especially as they wind the shows down. Plus this is the fourth night of them filming Live for a live DVD. It's going to vary and sway off of AGIB I'm telling ya. THey always do things diff at their Chicago shows.
