I went Stones. While I respect Dylan, he doesn't resonate with me on a personal level. And though Springsteen has over three decades worth of qual material to his credit, my urge to pull out one of his albums for a listen is not terribly frequent.

Yeah, outside of a handful of songs, the Stones haven't released much decent studio output since Tattoo You, but they continue to slay live to this day. And their mid-'60s through early '80s run is probably the longest sustained period of brilliance in rock and roll.

My dad's repeated playing of the Made in the Shade 8-track on the numerous road trips of my youth led to me being here on Obner today, because it gave birth to my unabashed love of rock music. So, with all apologies to Zim and The Boss, I must declare The Glimmer Twins the winners!

This is absolutely true. They still kill live. Years ago, Mr. "No Elvis, Beatles or the Rolling Stones" himself(Joe Strummer) went to a Stones show and was blown away.

Their shows would be even better if they didn't have to play the songs everyone has heard a million times and could go with their more obscure great stuff.
