From kingblind:

Jeff Tweedy and his celebrated band of indie rockers, otherwise known as Wilco, recently announced a bout of North American dates..After getting things into gear with a performance at Coachella this past Saturday (April 30th), Wilco will hit 13 North American cities over the course of May and June. Those who won’t be able to make these gigs needn’t worry too much, as it sounds as if Wilco will be making a live recording of their tour in support of A Ghost Is Born. Wilco are set to play Chicago’s Vic Theatre for four nights in a row, all without an opener to hinder prime recording time. An official email message about the Chicago gigs from the band reads: “Tape and or film will definitely be rolling. Okay, you’ve been warned. Don’t be late.”

just an fyi.

Hope it's good and lives up to the Obner, "What makes a good live album" thread from last week.

It's not for a Live Cd dudes, it's for a live DVD. They're filming almost exclusively at the chicago shows for the DVD.

Check THIS Out though!!

PLEASE NOTE: FOR THIS WEEK'S VIC SHOWS MAY 3-7 THERE IS NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE THEATRE. ALSO, PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND/OR AUDIO RECORDING ARE NOT ALLOWED. SO LEAVE THE CAMERAS AND MICROPHONES AND SMOKES AT HOME. THANKS...AND SEE YOU THERE.

Crap. Sorry but the Vic is huge, and them trying to keep several hundred people from smoking is nuts.

Yeah, they're holding a party already over at the Via Chicago(Wilco) board over this.

"Indie rockers"? Last I heard, they were on Nonesuch, which is pretty much NOT an indie label, right?

I would be too, were I in Chicago and, you know, going.
