and Graham!

Graham Cousens' record release at Double Door is tonight. Epa plays bass in his band too, and I'll be slinging discs behind the merchant counter. Not sold? Want to hear a song first? Here ya go:

Comfort Me

Only $3!

Double Door is at Milwaukee/North and Damen....I believe at like 1572 N. Milwaukee.

Come on out!

This show is gonna rock.

Any chance you'll have any live mp3's for people who bought the cd?

They said 256 paid at the door, or something like that. I think the Double Door wasn't expecting it and was understaffed. I personally had the time of my life, and I've never felt this way before.

I dug Cracklin Moth too. I can't comment on my own band though.

Now I have to go in for a half day of work.

Understaffed? What do you mean? I thought one bartender was more than adequate for a door of 256 paid. :D

Phil, I need to stop gushing but you guys were incredible last night. Really had a wonderful time and so far this promotion is going swimmingly. Check out this great review of the disc I found today too:

Ok, that's it. I HAVe to have this album. After the Ben Folds show ended last night I was contemplating suggesting we hop a cab over there, but Josh having to get up early for work prevented that. Plus I'm already exhausted from just going to the show itself. Wish I could have seen Graham's though.

Matt, me and you, lunch monday. Me buy album from you. is this possible? Somehow or another we forgot to have me buy it from you sunday night. Not that that's a surprise or anything. haha

wish i could have been there, and intended on being there, but I suddenly turned into an old man and fell asleep on my couch. Woke up at 1:30am, confused, frustrated, and having to pee.

the disc is awesome, as my gerpok ratings demonstrate. Graham Cousins is my #7 top played artist.

So no chance of any live mp3's with the band? Are any more shows in the works?

We don't have any shows booked - the Double Door was our first and only so far. I keep telling the club owners that we can bring people in the door, but up until last night I don't think anyone believed me....But, as of today we've got a couple of really cool things in the works, so stay tuned.

It wasn't the fault of the Double Door that they were understaffed - they just didn't realize what was gonna happen. I sure didn't mind watching them call for backup!

As far as how many people came in, that 250+ number isn't right....it was 300-400 total. 550 there is a sold-out show, so that was very nice. But the numbers don't tell the story - that crowd was the best I've seen in such a long time. So many smiling faces. I tried to thank everyone. What a crowd. What a good, fun night.

Hey Graham!
Sorry I couldn't be there.
Sounds like a fun night, and it was great meeting you on Sunday.
