there's also no word on the reported Rick James biopic for Paramount in which Chappelle would portray the late R&B wild man.

Oh my.

Cocaine's a hell of a drug.

I don't understand the logic of this:

Paramount has indefinitely pushed back the release of the second season--the studio hopes to time the DVD to the start of season three.

If the first season was the all time top selling TV show on DVD ever, why wouldn't season 2 do well no matter what time it was released?

Like say today?

It's the dreaded "synergy" ( Gawd, I hate even having to type that word ) ...sure, it would sell well - but the rule of thumb now is to release the DVD of older shows at the same time as new shows on the air. Cross-promotions, & all that.

There's lots of dirt online about Chapelle being very spacey lately and obviously under the influence of copious amounts of drugs or alcohol, and saying the show shut down because Chapelle repeatedly didn't show up for shooting days. Don't know if it's true, but that's what Google told me.

I heard that he feel so much pressure with the new 50 million dollar deal he got, to make the new seasons as funny as the first two, and he keeps second guessing himself, and throwing a way sketches....

Call in Charlie Kaufmann, and I believe this season writes itself.

(Paramount initially pushed back the release of the second season from Feb. 8 to May 24 to coincide with beginning of the third season; despite the new delay in the new season, Paramount says it will release the DVD as scheduled this month.)
