....were surprisingly excellent.

I was so happy that I bought tickets despite warnings that they sucked live. It's no longer true.

Peter Hook prowls the stage in a powder blue sleeveless jumpsuit making that rock god pose off The Cult's 'Sonic Temple' album cover, Sumner is getting so excited about the show that he's like yelping, the whole crowd is having a college party flashback - it was great fun.

Ana from Scissor Sisters guested on Jetstream as well, but her voice didn't sound too good. Oh, well...

Setlist:
Love Vigilantes
Crystal
Regret
Hey Now What You Doing
Krafty
Transmission
True Faith
Run Wild
Jetstream (with Ana Matronic)
Waiting for the Sirens' Call
Bizarre Love Triangle
Love Will Tear Us Apart
Temptation

She's Lost Control
Atmosphere
Blue Monday

What size venues have they been playing?....I read an interview with them in Mojo a couple of months which stated they'd be mixing in Joy Division songs along with New Order ones. Got me more interested in possibly seeing 'em.

I think I may have seen them in college also, but I saw so many shows back then that I really don't remember.

np: Isaac Hayes "Hot Buttered Soul"

i was there. the joy division stuff was a great surprise. overall performance was better than i expected. the sound was crap as usual. and bernard whistling into the mic blew out my ear drums.

I think I'd like to see them live although the new album isn't growing on me in the slightest.

i caught them at coachella and it was awesome seeing them. at certain points though, bernard was off key-- but when they did the jd songs, it was fantastic (and of course not the same w/out ian curtis) but to hear peter hook play bass, i was in heaven.

setlist was way shorter, but played most of those songs listed.
