It sounds like she's doing her best Pee-Wee Herman impersanation.

Howard Stern has been making fun of this since Monday. Rosie is one of those folks that I'd never want (a) to be around while she is drunk, or (b) working outside of my office with that lack of volume control she seems to possess.

You know what's worse? I mean, this movie's an abomination, but if you make fun of it in front of most people, they're going to think you're making fun of mentally handicapped people. I so wanted to make fun of this crap the other day at work, but held my tongue because I know if I didn't I'd be getting a call from HR.

This kind of "film" does NOTHING to help the public understand the plight of mentally-handicapped people. Everyone should be forced to read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. This book really gives you an insight into what goes on in the minds of mentlaly-handicapped people. How the author managed to accomplish this is beyond me - he's not mentally challenged, but he sure as hell did a beautiful job of realistically portraying the thought processes of someone dealing with the affliction. (Okay, so the character is autistic, not retarded, but that's beside the point.)

I think I'm going to go watch that montage again. That's fun stuff.

Someone needs to put Rosie and Robin Williams together in a movie where they can both play characters like this together. Robin Williams can just be himself, really. Seriously, if you saw him on the street acting the way he ALWAYS does on camera, wouldn't you think something was damaged upstairs?

I wish she'd have gotten hit by the bus instead.

I have no idea if this film sucks or not. Conceptually it's irritating as hell, but it is getting good reviews, particuarly for Rosie's supposedly non-sentimental portrayal. Dunno. I used to work at a group home for the metally retarded and haven't been impressed with a Downs-perfomance by a non-Downs actor since LA Law.

How come Andy McDowell always makes me think of wind whipping through an abandoned grist mill? I have no concrete basis for this beyond her talk show and commercial appearances, but I've always thought she was as vapid as human can be and still remember her lines.

Not to be an anti-semite but there's a jewish paper here in Boston called the Jewish Advocate and every story in it seems to be about how the jewish helped the Red Sox win the World Series or how a jewish boy made his lunch for school today.
